18th C. BURMESE BRONZE FOLK JAMBUPATI BUDDHA

One of the best examples I have seen.  13” (32.5cm) tall, which is bigger than the usual ones you see.  Dark brown patina;  slightly darker than the picture.  The condition is excellent, and there are no broken off parts, which is quite unusual for a buddha of this style and age.  He is holding a frond, and note the wonderful detail of the rat at his right wrist (ask for closeup).  This is slightly more provincial in style, which adds to the charm.  I love Jambupati style buddhas, and keep several.  If no one buys this, I am happy to keep it.  $1900
