18TH C. TIBETAN THANGKA

This also hung on the wall of my office for many years.  Unlike most of the thangkas you see, this one is far more intricate and nuanced in the painting style.  Ask for some closeups if you are seriously interested.  The painting itself measures 16.5"x 24.5" and is mounted on a very old silk scroll whose dimensions are 22" x 42".  It shows significant wear and smoke deposition, but has not been cleaned or restored.  It has a wonderful smell of the ancient incense that burned for so many years in its temple.
