DESK SIZED TAIHU SCHOLAR'S ROCK

Another object that has been in our home for a while.  These stones are formed by the erosion of limestone by the currents at the bottom of Lake Tai.  They are focal points for contemplation/mediation.  This nice example measures tall with the hand carved stand.  This stone has been restored, and there is crack across it about 1/3 of the way up which you cannot see unless you look hard for it.  20 inches high, with the stand.  Because of that, it is going at a bargain price.  $250
