19TH C. BRONZE LAOTIAN BUDDHA

On the most recent trip to Asia, I was fortunate to find a number of excellent Laotian buddhas, and this is one of the two larger ones.  He has classic features and form, and great dignity.   The patina is a dark mottled brown, and the condition is excellent, with minimal losses to the base.  He stands 21.5 inches tall, and would make a great centerpiece for a large altar or meditation room.
