19TH C. BURMESE THOUSAND BUDDHA AMULET COLLECTOR

Another item from our personal collection. These function as temple decorations, or as the reredos for a large buddha.  It was obtained right on the Burmese border, and had quite an odyssey to New York, as it ended up being held for ransom in Los Angeles.  Fortunately, it was freed and will delight a serious collector.  It stands  41 inches high with the custom base we hade made, and is made out of thick, heavy teak.  Beautiful weathered patina on the wood.  The amulets are made of bronze which has been gilded and each pictures many buddhas.  A powerful spiritual piece.  $3500
